CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Acrobatics:
The ancient art of rolling, tumbling, pyramid-building and cart-wheeling. Essentially, it’s gymnastics. Safety, fun, and discipline are top priorities. You can expect variety, creativity and rigorous work-outs.
Boys wear elastic waist shorts or sweats and a t-shirt that can be tucked in. Girls wear leotard or same as boys. Long hair must be pulled back. Bare feet. No jewelry.
Ballet:
Be inspired by this art form that will give you flexibility, strength, grace and great posture!
Girls wear leotard, tights, ballet slippers and hair in a tight bun. Boys wear acrobatics uniform (see above) and dance shoes.
Ballroom:
Bronze level Smooth, Rhythm & Latin styles. Couples are good but you do not have to have a partner.
Wear comfortable shoes that will not cling to the floor.
Belly Dance: Self-esteem, body awareness, flexibility, coordination, posture, stress reduction, confidence, balance, rhythm and creativity! Not to mention FUN! For more information, call Yolanda at Babylon Babes Dance Company 882-1405.
Wear loose comfortable clothing or yoga work-out clothing.
Breakdance: Join Andy Garcia for some creative choreography and breakdance basics! He is young, strong, talented and energetic! He and a few motivated friends started a breakdance performance group at Carson High School. Check out these videos here and here.
Hip-Hop:
Be a part of this popular and FUN style of dance. Stefan Ballard-Reisch is an amazing dancer and teacher with a resume so long that it won’t fit here!
Wear loose, comfortable clothing and lace-up athletic shoes.

Tap:
Rhythm tapping will send you shuffling and fa-lapping through your days! Create your own sounds and learn to put steps to music.
Wear comfortable clothing and tap shoes.

"Green class" is our way of saying "beginner."
"Blue" is intermediate.
Prices listed are for one class per week for 8-weeks. Some sessions include 7 or 9 classes, but they tend to even out over the course of the year. All adult classes are available with a drop-in fee of $12. The exception is Belly Dance with the Babylon Babes... $10/drop in or $32/month. Family Rate…………………………….....…….…...$350 Deduct $20 from your total for each additional class you take, or for each additional family member. The family rate applies to any and all classes, except Belly Dance, for your immediate family.
We offer payment plans and a work-for-classes program. We are flexible!

Many children NEED these types of activities, but simply lack the funding. Bless you!
