 Her tumbling & dance career began at a very young age. She has been performing regularly in dance recitals, musicals, and theatrical plays regularly ever since.  She has been teaching in Carson City since 1991; first competitive gymnastics and then recreational & performance-based acrobatics, and a variety of styles of dance. She takes humor very seriously and seriousness very lightly. Community involvement is a top-priority; you will see Positive Energy performers at many local events throughout the year.

MICHELLE MICHELSEN
Jazz, Tap and Ballroom Instructor 

Dancing since 5 years old.Trained in ballet, tap and jazz. Been involved in productions for the U.N.R. Dance Program, on and off stage, working with different artists and companies such as Hubbard Street 2, Ballet Hispanic, John Lehre, Gina Hernandez and more. Was president of U.N.R.’s Dance Co-Op ClubHas taken classes in Polynesian, Modern, Hip-Hop, Tap and Ballet in Reno, Lake Tahoe and Italy.
Currently in training with professional dance partner to compete in National Ballroom Competition.Training to be certified in Bronze Level of Ballroom Dance; Rhythm, and SmoothTeaching Hip-Hop, Ballet, Jazz and Tap at Positive Energy since spring 2006Coached and choreographed a routine for Meghan Madrigan, Miss U.N.R.Second Runner-up for the 2007 Miss Nevada Pageant
